Great article and great job with the desk. Am certain that Lefty's owner is very grateful. You are a very talented little angel, eh!

You are correct Irene from Janice aboard Seaweed on 4 Jul '18

My desk aka dinette is the center of my home. Here is where I view the world, write and read. Thank you for your comment Irene. The feedback keeps me inspired to write more. You're the best. J.

How nice you are Ahab from Janice aboard Seaweed on 4 Jul '18

I confess that I like the desk too. For me working down below without being able to see the world would be the epitome of sadness. I need to see outside. There is life out there. I want to view dolphins fishing, manatees eating, birds and more.

In my mind there could be nothing worse than being locked in a box like so many of those older folks. That scares me.

It also motivates me to have my home as safe as possible, not only for today but also for future decades. I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

To you and yours I wish much happiness. J.

Now that's a nifty set-up, Janice! And the cork backing for a bulletin board is a great idea. *Note to self* - sort/store most used screws in an easier to use way.

Storage woes from Janice aboard Seaweed on 6 Jul '18

Hi Pam. You may well find as I have that your items will rotate. Originally my drill and screws were front and center. They have been in several lockers over the years. Now only my emergency kit is convenient.

Well actually I have out my spice jar od quarter 20's. Those are 1/4" and have 20 threads to the inch. That is yet another project. As you see screws 3/4" long or less in stainless you might want to add them to your boat gear stash. Super long screws generally will go all the way through your boat! I don't have to explain why I know that. Sigh.

That's it from here. The newest article is up and the one after that is nearly finished too. Life is great. Thank you so much for your comments. They do keep me motivated. Your friend in the south, J.
