You know, I had the very same impression. Old Key West had a charm that still exists in Gulfport. I like the cute little buildings too. There are loads of places to eat in Gulfport too.

Gulfport is a gem. It's a nice little town, relaxed and pet friendly. That it has not been homogenized is a good thing. Old buildings with wood floors have a charm. They remind me of my childhood.

The world has changed. I rather prefer the slower pace found in smaller towns.

So great to see an article about Gulfport, it is a hidden treasure for sure. Such a Quirky little town with the friendliest people, do make sure to visit! Also mentioned was Cabbage Key.......one of our favorite place. It has the “Old” Florida charm, so peaceful. Although you can only get there by boat it can get crowded on weekends as there is a ferry from the mainland to bring people for lunch. Another don’t miss anchorage! Quirky is a great description of Gulfport. I liked that one store in particular with bunches of consignment offerings. I don't think could ever see everything there. The next time I get over I would like to give it a gander. That's one of those interesting to look at places.

It is likely I'll see you and Island Time in that little Anchorage you mentioned one day at McDonald's. That would be great fun.
