Apples and Grape Nuts from Captain Sid on 19 Nov '21

Great article on working toward eating healthier with Apples. I love apples and eating them the way you do makes them even more appealing. Good luck with getting healthier and skinnier. We could all use some of that. Also, I really do love Grape Nuts, started eating them as a small boy many years ago.

The aphorism! from Janice aboard Seaweed on 19 Nov '21

Although I tuck an aphorism at the end of each article I do sometimes wonder if they are read. Thank you Cap'n Sid for commenting re the aphorism.

Yes, apples are good. I used to purchase dehydrated apples from the Dollar Tree however they changed manufacturers and the new ones are not as good. Such is life. Good luck to you Sir in your journey to a healthier life. J.

Cinnamon and apples from Pam on 19 Nov '21

Hi, Janice. I love cinnamon in mince pies, and cinnamon with yams, and cinnamon in pumpkin pies, and cinnamon toast, and cinnamon in eggnog...well, I think there's a pattern here. So, I wholeheartedly endorse sprinkling it on apples and often do so myself! 😁

Great ideas Pam! from Janice aboard Seaweed on 19 Nov '21

You know, I do believe that I should look into some cinnamon raisin bread. Toasted with additional cinnamon sounds great. Thank you for the Great suggestions PA.

Mother used to take scraps of her pie rust, sprinkle with a bit of cinnamon and sugar, then roll I to miniature cinnamon rolls. They were not puffy like standard cinnamon rolls. Instead the pieces would melt in your mouth delicious.

The weather is absolutely perfect here Pam. This is the best time of the year. I did dig out my Christmas box. The lights inside Seaweed are all laid out. Getting the box out and the lights up is the "hard" part. What's left is the fun... and that will wait until after Thanksgiving.

As the neighbors are having guests for turkey day, when they light up their place I'll turn mine on too. I haven't put up any ornaments, still haven't decided if I'm going to use a garland this time. Anyway it's getting late. Thank you again for all the ideas on how to use cinnamon. They sound delicious. Thanks Pam. J.
