Books…. from Cheryl on 16 Jan '22

I too love old (and new) cookbooks, just wondering if you have read “An Embarrassment of Mangoes” and the “Spice Necklace” both by Anne Vanderhoof they are kind of story cookbooks. If not and you’d like to read them I have them. Thanks for the great article!

Those are familiar Cheryl from Janice aboard Seaweed on 17 Jan '22

Yes, I believe I may still have one of the two. It's been years however I think I've had both previously. Though not keepers, if memory serves me I liked them.

I believe I only have a half dozen cookbooks aboard, including yours! :) I should bring it over to McDonald's for an autograph.

Thanks for your comment Cheryl. I really appreciate that. J.

Really enjoyed reading this article. So can we assume that the men in your life are treated to delicious and wholesome, cook book inspired fabulous meals many times each week on your boat? How do I get an invitation?

You're funny Cap'n Sid. from Janice aboard Seaweed on 19 Jan '22

I'm Definitely not a great chef. Cooking tends toward edible and that's good enough for me. Like I said, I'm in it for ease of preparation. Frankly, of late I have been enjoying immensely the Satsuma mandarin oranges. These are branded Halo and Cuties. Basically, peel and eat -- which suits my style. I love them.

Fruit is so refreshing. I wish you well in finding your own dining companion. Good luck Sir, and thank you for your comment.
