I loathe drafts! Good on you, Janice, for finding a way to stop that one in its tracks with what you had on hand. I REALY like the dots trick. I'll have to remember that one.

Janet and I have a new-to-us Schucker 436 and this 30+ year old boat has doors that fit like yours. The previous owners used some residential type foam with glue on it to seal the back door. I've seen the stuff at Lowe's before. However, one side door has a gap that is just too big so we put a towel in the spot and it works well enough. I was traking down why the head "bathroom" is so cool and discovered the cool northerly beeze was blowing u the drain for the sink, so I closed the stopper and that fixed that drafty spot. It has been very "cool" here in the St Pete area lately. Even now we are at anchor with a northerly wind howling through the rigging just outsde my window. Once of the nicest things about our Schucker is the pilothouse, once the sun comes up it heats up naturally to a comfy 70 degrees even in this weather. When it gets warm I will open the windows and welcome the cooling breeze.

I use nail polish often to mark stuff. My USB cords and such all have a dot. This just makes things easier for me. Plus I don't have to hunt for my glasses.

Thank you Pam for your comment. I really appreciate them. J.

Greetings Keith and Janet. In a shop one time I saw some one inch wide by about 1/8's inch thick flexible rubber. I thought it would have potential to attach to the pilothouse doors. Forward side, outside to seal that gap. Alas I do not know what it actually is. The fellow had a spool of it maybe ten inches in diameter. I look for something similar though thus far have not seen it. Black would be great!

Sealing out wind is a priority. Our old boat had drafts too. We had an exhaust fan in the shower that let in wind too.

As for the head, yes mine is the same as yours. I keep a cover on the drain like you. My galley sink always has a small towel in there. I leave my dishes to dry in the sink. The towel keeps out cold drafts.

When we do the Schucker gathering I'd like to see your back door solution. Maybe before. The weather looks wet this week so I'll be sticking close to home. The flu situation is not good down here either.

Thank you for the into regarding the Lowes product. That's helpful. J.
