New address from Pam on 25 May '21

Congrats on upgrading to a PO Box, Janice. You're getting fancy! 😄 When redoing the electrics in the pilot house, do you rip out the old stuff and start over - or repurpose what's there after adding the new fuse block?

Congratulations on your new address, very happy for you. Also, loved the Carrabelle information and pic. Makes me want to visit there and stay at C-Quarters. Vos is a very cool pooch.

Thanks Pam. I admit I am pleased to have the post office box. I love mail and should definitely write more real letters.

As for the power in my pilothouse overhead, I unscrewed everything and will start again. I had the glass tube fuses and the new larger block uses those small push in car fuses. Frankly I prefer the old ones as it is easy to spot when one is blown. However in the size I wanted (8 versus 6) this is the choice.

I did label the wires though. To do that, save the tags on your breadwrappers. Then it is simple to number or tag your wires. Whenever I have a long run I mark what it is on installation. What is easy to remember today, will be forgotten eventually. That is why I mark stuff.

So usually I have a half dozen white tags ready for projects. If I am helping someone with wiring I bring the tags along with a permanent magic marker. That makes my life easier.

After too long away I revisited Trawler Forum. I had been away too long. It is wonderful to reconnect with so many familiar faces. Come over there and say hello. Someone is asking about the Loop in a small boat. It's an interesting thread. Having a smaller boat offers option including being hauled via trailer around rough passage areas. Boats such as Seaweed do not provide large spaces for visitors though... Anyway that is life here. Thank you for commenting. I am writing the next article now. Your friend, J.

Thank you Mr. Roberts from Janice aboard Seaweed on 27 May '21

I admit that I am inordinately pleased to have a new post 9ffice box. I am one of those old fashioned folks who send Christmas cards. It will be nice to have a specific address too.

You are quite correct that Carrabelle is a special place. The "bad" is the cold. My bones ache in wintertime. Isn't it silly that I am bemoaning "cold" weather in Florida, albeit north Florida?!? Thank goodness for my Comfy Cruise 12v electric blanket.

As for Vos, yes he is a striking pup. I might add that he has great taste in approving my Skipper. Plus he's a cool pup.

Thanks for your comments Sir. I appreciate that. J.

P.S. - You're correct about Carrabelle. It is worth visiting, and C-Quarters is a favorite of mine. I believe anyone would enjoy that front porch. I sure did.
