Hello, Janice. How great is that, to watch the babies hatch and grow just feet away from you! Yes, you are blessed. 😊 The mangrove is beautiful and from what I've read does so much good for the environment around it. Take care!
The little guys are so funny to watch. For the second week they did not seem able to hold their wings up to their bodies. It was quite adorable. Part 2 should be up today hopefully.
Tomorrow I've been invited to the top Chinese restaurant in Florida (it's my favorite place too) called Zom Hee. It's a great place. 👍 That will be delicious.
Thanks for your comment. I did make it through the Amazon link thing and last month I saw 4 times as many purchases as I see, p,us was invited to participate in something else from them. There is actual visible progress. That is incredibly heartening. I'm Rambling as always. Thanks again Pam. Your friend in the blistering hot south, J.
not too many of us left that pay that much attention! Good Kharma!
This has been such fun. Today I spotted a new grey night heron too. I suspect there is at least one more nest in the trees. My Buddy had disappeared for nearly a week. Perhaps Buddy is a girl and was sitting on her eggs. I don't know for sure though...
It is lovely to hear from you. While I was fixing all the Amazon links I was privileged to read back though the articles from my time in your spot. I remembered how nice you were. You are a special lady. It was lovely when you took me to see your property. It is so pretty out there. I do hope you do well.
And strawberries. Weren't you growing strawberries too?!? My succulents have almost all croaked. The aloe is doing well. I gave away two more aloes a week or so ago (to a O'Day and a friend of his) so the your gift to me continues to be shared among the boating community. Thank you!!!
I have four small planters of succulents hanging in the galley window. When I went to Tarpon Springs a year or so back I bought myself another air plant. I had murdered the previous one. This one seems to be doing better. I did pick up a sponge piece to have a place to set it.
I do look for SMALL succulents regularly. I like my little planters. Eventually I hope to grow enough that I can share with friends I meet along the waterways. For two months I have been land bound (well, tied to a dock!) while I redid nearly 1000 files for my website. That was not an entirely awful thing as here at the dock there is power. I like my air conditioner notwithstanding the fiasco to install it, including the damaged Dometic I received. It was during the lockdowns and that was the worst time to do that project. My mistake of course. Still burns my knickers though! :)
Well, stay cool and say hello to my friends too. Thanks for keeping in touch. J.
Love how you pay attention to your beautiful neighbors. They can teach us a lot. Keep up the good work.
