Good tips! from Pam on 7 Aug '21

Great, easy tips for making life aboard more enjoyable. The "I have found any metal that a magnet sticks to, will eventually rust" takes the guesswork out of deciding if an object will eventually rust. BTW: love the cocoa tin!

Thank you for showing us how you do it and thank you for pointing out otherwise simple solutions to every day boat issues. That is one of your finest attributes: you take the complex and make it simple, and for that sailors around the world love reading your site. Please keep up the great work.

Love the Scooby quilt block. 😍

Because iron (a ferrous netal) rusts and magnets stick to ferrous materials, a magnet can easily identify something that will make a mess. Of course nothing metal should ever go near the compass.

Thanks for the Scooby-Doo compliment. I loved that fabric. Actually I found this hospital uniform scrubs at the thrift store last year... I bought it for the fabric. So thank you for liking my block.

Enjoyed seeing Scooby too! A brown bottle in the laundry section labled Whink. Great for the yellow stains and rust!!

I had forgotten entirely about that brand. I will give it a look-see too. Thanks. Hoping you and Harold did well during Fred. J.
