Wow! The teenie lights use just a fraction of the regular LED's. I'm getting those. SeaWeed is splendid and festive with all your decorations and TB Robin looks grand. Sorry to hear your were under the weather; I hope you're all recovered in fine shape for Christmas.
I am late with them... on Monday I hope to mail them off -- at least the ones I'm sending. I've got my list and did a few yesterday. I generally write a short note to each person which of course takes time. Anyway, I'm getting them ready. One's heading for MN, as soon as I dig out the address!
I've got another heading for California. Most are local though, boat friends and of course Baby and the Grand.
As for the Grand, Baby suggested instead of sending Grand a coloring book, that I instead mail her a page every few days -- so that she gets mail and something to do. One More Thing is not needed -- so I get that having disposable gifts is the best.
As a practice, I don't buy toys though I did buy her an apron when she was a tiny thing, and dress up clothes. The Grand is a Princess and likes all the girly stuff. That's fun for me.
Anyway, I'll share some more of the boat decor in upcoming articles. I don't want to overwhelm the men-folk with the holiday. I did create an AC outlet in my pilothouse that I'm using for the lights up there. I'll show that tomorrow. Last night I was up late and tonight I've got a new book. I'm not sure if it is any good -- it's a Christmas novella. I like those. The one I'm reading to night is The Christmas Stranger. I'm not sure if it is any good, but for 99 cents I'll find out.
I do like the tugboat, and she lights up too. Anyway, it's late and I might just fall asleep and read in the morning.
To you, good night and sweet dreams. Stay warm Pam. And thank you too for your comment. It is always appreciated. Your friend in the south, J.
Well done, sweet girl.
Though the book Christmas Stranger had reviews suggesting this was a clean holiday romance it was not. Sigh. It wasn't my thing so I skimmed a lot. Frankly there are so many good holiday stories I was disappointed. Fortunately there are more nice ones so I'll read them. I do have a thing for the Christmas anthologies.
Years ago I bought the paperbacks. With the invention on Kindle and the ability to increase font size I have become spoilt. And I'm enjoying every moment of it too. J.
Welcome Salty Sam, and thank you for your Comment. I do so love this time of the year. The lights look so pretty and the music is simply wonderful.
Actually it is my music I listen too. I copied my holiday CDs onto a flash drive and then play through my am/FM radio. No commercials!
My world is peaceful. Bing Crosby is singing to me right now, along with Rosemary Clooney. It's a duet called Fancy Meeting You Here. I like that song.
Thank you Salty Sam for commenting. I appreciate that. J.
Merry Christmas, Janice! May it be wonderful for you.
I hope your Christmas is wonderful too. It is cold here so I am sitting beside my Aladdin lamp. Stay warm up there. Down here will be quiet. My get up and go is heading back to my bunk for some reading. Thank you for all your comments and encouragement this past year. Your friend, J.
